doula + artist
With a background in social work and gender studies, I entered the birth field in 2019. Interested in learning about the functions of my own body, I studied doula care through Mama Glow, an organization based in Brooklyn. I chose this certifying body because of their focus on reproductive justice and increasing access to doula care for all.
I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, with additional trainings in abortion support, gender affirming birth work, and infant feeding.
Currently, I work in several doula collectives to provide labor and birth support. I am available for private postpartum care using a “pay what you can” model.
My visual art draws on themes of sexuality, reproductive health, and cyclicality. Art is a tool for me to better understand my body and to unpack the many facets of reproduction.
My doula work is an extension of this curiosity, helping others to reconnect with lost knowledge of reproductive health as I do the same myself. My ceramic art symbolizes the ultimate creative vessel—the womb.
I feel called to create and I feel called to support those with the potential to create life, however those reproductive experiences unfold.
